My wife is on a mission to buy storage solutions for the cupboards in the van.

What do you use?

Totally depends on your cupboards and what you want to store, but a mix of plastic boxes (dedicated ones or curry ones), soft Ikea felt boxes, packing cubes will cover most bases.

Think through what you want where and make sure the boxes are big enough to take what you want in them. Choose wrong and nothing fits and loads of space is wasted!

don't buy anything until you know what you need. Is this a pre-emptive purchase in anticipation of a perceived problem, or do you know what your requirements are ?

Cutlery
Cooking utensils
Plates
Washing up stuff
Food organisers
Charging cables
Shoe storage
Toiletries
Eg, all the small stuff that rattles around and/or gets cluttered and difficult to find etc

We use a lot of folding storage crates from Amazon and Temu. Really good for packing in the house and then just sliding into the van under the bed and in the cupboards.

We actually use a crate for plates, cups, cutlery etc as we find diving into that is easier then keep needing to go in draws/cupboards.

We have 2 main boxes that slide under the front of the bed for the above and our dried food. So much easier to move around into the awning/beach. Rather than a bit here and a bit there.

Packing cubes for clothes.

I've put bungees on our top shelf above the kitchen unit and this is great for stuffing every day items when we are actually using the van.

Buy a roll of anti slip matting for between your pot, pans, plates etc.
Cutlery we have stood in a plastic pot type thing (that I hate but it works)
Washing goes in a reusable shopping bag so can be stuffed wherever depending on how full it is and left next to the machine in the laundry without getting pinched.
Soft , zippy up folding cubes are useful but rigid storage boxes we find tend to be big and bulky .

If you have a local Homebase they have 1000s of boxes going cheap as they are closing down. At least you can have a proper look rather than buying online.

These are good for putting around stacks of plates, bowls, mugs etc to stop them rattling and sliding around:
