Whenever I put the heating down to my feet, after 10-20minutes i get a warning on the stereo that its overheating.
My feet at this point are still cold and theres not much coming from the air outlet at the feet.
I've never had the dash off or anything so I have no idea what could be going on.

Has anyone have any ideas on where to even start looking?

The stereo surround is easy to remove with those trim tool kits, so I’d start there in order to see whether any heating pipes are unclipped/broken.

There are heater duct joints that are just clipped together behind where the head unit sits.

You can see them if you look up with the glove box removed but they a very difficult to reach! One of ours had started to come apart and just managed to nudge it back.

Let us know how you get on.

ok thanks. Another job to add to the list, an important one so will let you guys know soon. I may remove the stereo if its easy enough to give good access.
