I really fancy a mk7 golf dsg steering wheel as raceline fit to there t6 vans , i am not a fan of the highline wheel at all. I wondered if anyone has ever messed with changing wheels, i dont no if the wires/plugs are there for a straight swap but it cant be much of a job if raceline do it ?

I have not yet @T6 dork, as i have said as long as the controls match what you have on your T6 wheel it should be a straight swap, any different then there may be some wiring mods needed.

but
on the left side controls under the acc chrome button mine says CNL
on the one i want to buy it says MODE with a little speedo icon ??
whats the difference ??

Mmmm not sure about that, i have CNL = cancel. i dont have ACC on my combi . Mode button maybe does something different ??

I dont, so that wheel will be fine on mine, complete with a air bag to.

CNL = Cancel
ACC = Adaptive cruse control
Mode = Driving/sport/eco/steering i think

ok, i took the battery off and changed the wheel for a very similar one with paddles
now nothing works and loads of errors came on the dash
do i need vag-com to set it all backup ?
or shall i change all the buttons and chrome strip in one but how does it all come off ?
