Steel Wheel & All Terrain Tyre Sizes

Hey all,

Looking for some guidance on Tyre sizes.

Am down in Australia now and steel wheel options are limited for the Transporter.

I am looking at the below rim in 17" ( Cant find any 16" that will suposedly clear the brake calipers)

Will probably go with a' Pirelli AT plus' tyre which looks chunky and is quiet and seems to be popular down here...

Can anyone advise the biggest tyre size I can go on standard suspension? Will a 245/65/17 fit?

That is quite a bit bigger than standard.
gearing and braking will be affected.

Also, do the steels have the correct centre to fit on the Transporter hub?
