Squeaking Front Brakes

Hi all,

Don't think this has been discussed yet so I'm just throwing it out there.

Just had my pads and discs done all round 400 miles ago and I'm noticing that all of a sudden the front brakes are speaking when I'm moving slowly in traffic or towards a junction and when the brakes are only marginally applied.

This seems to get less and less as the brakes warm up and once I've been travelling for a while the noise doesn't happen if the circumstances above are repeated.

Anyone got any ideas or is it a case of take the pads off and see if there's anything that's got in between pad and disc?

Take the van back and get it fixed if you paid a garage to do it.

Not really any help to you but my previous van was a Vito and it allways did that if genuine pads were fitted- I assume its to do with the hardness/ make up of the pads

Put some copper grease on the discs - that will sort it!

(To those who fail to recognise that the above is a JOKE….please hand back your van as you are too stupid to be on the road!)
