sponge / foam surround for loom - where from?

I am looking for some insulation like in this pic as the wires to the ceiling lights in my ply roof (that I taped down) seem to have come loose and I can now hear them bouncing on the ply roof. I was hoping to find some of the sponge tubing in the pic will stop this even if the wires are not fixed to the ply.

I’ve used Tesa Loom Tape. It’s not foamy, but does limit the rattling.

I looked everywhere for this and couldn’t find it. I used tesa tape in the end but was going to try the sticky foam draft excluder tape.

The closest I found was for mountain bikes:

its classed as Upholstery Foam "sheet" . . .

have a look at the 1.27cm 1/2inch example here :

more modern foams are EVA or closed cell (dont absorb water), which is great for sticking on the van for sound proofing etc . . . but this stuff, the upholstery stuff is more oldskool.

I cut strips of thermoliner and wrap it around cables or stick it down

This is the stuff to use. Thin enough self adhesive foam tape, 3mm thick, 50mm wide, to fold over a loom. Very sticky. Used by A/C engineers to join the foam pipe insulation;

No, only sticky one side. I use to do what you're looking for. Soft and thin enough to fold over a loom, like OEM.
