Specialist to retrofit ACC to a T6

Hi,
I am the 2nd owner of a 2020 registered California T6 - 2019 model. It comes with cruise control and speed limiter, but no ACC.
I am not handy enough to try any hacking. Are there specialists that can retrofit the ACC ?
I am located in Surrey

Thanks

Hazzy Days, Advanced In-Car Technologies or North East Vag Adaptions, all can do a proper OEM quality install, but it won’t be cheap.

you can do yourself , just need buy radar, mfsw buttons, loom and spend a day to pull wires from outside to inside

£4000 plus VAT for DSG vans!!! It doesn't say whether that is the price for vans with no radar or mfsw tho'. Does anyone know what is involved if you already have a radar and mfsw?

Unlock current radar - 200£,
unlocked radar -300£,
MFSW with ACC- 200£,
loom - 50£
few hours of labour - priceless
Im very interested in the process for this

Component protection ?
FEC for the radar ?

A few people can do it for about £4-500. I had my 2018 T6 done in Germany. I had my own steering wheel that I found on fleabay for £135.

£4000+vat .... definitely I'm no longer interested !

PM me for details you need more info
Don’t fancy adding the info on here so others can access it in the future?
This kind of mod needs a write up from someone who knows their stuff, so others can follow it. (Unless there is one already and I’ve missed it)

We had a chat via pm and is basically as per his post further above with some approx prices

MFSW with ACC- 200£,

If you have existing front radar then all wiring is present you just need to unlock existing radar or buy unlocked replacement radar unit, then swap MFSW buttons to correct set with ACC button on then its a case of recoding vehicle for ACC
If you dont have existing front radar then its installing the wiring as a full retrofit and buying all the parts in the list

One thing to note, if you plan to do it all yourself and send off your radar to be unlocked then you need ODIS E to apply the correct FEC codes when you re-install it

I will say i dont think this is going to be your average DIY install job as a bit of knowledge/coding tools will be required to perform this, the good news is i think more people are likely to be offering this in the future and as the knowledge develops im sure it will become more commonplace

This job will leave permanent errors in some control modules, this doesnt really matter and wont be seen outside of diagnostic software but thought it was worth mentioning

Yes, all is clear
DTC error with Component protection active not do any disturbing with communication
but with odis ONLINE, unlocked radar can be match to car, and error gone , then is need to load proper dataset (offline ODX file) and load proper FEC code (also offline via odis E)

@Dav-Tec remember we spoke about this when I fitted my non ACC MFSW. Maybe it’s a goer again mate.

I think the way fuel prices are now, sitting 3m behind a lorry on adaptive cruise seems like a good idea!!!!

From Hazzy Days :

“Please see some info below on the Adaptive cruise, however the biggest issue is on automatic models the ABS pump needs changing and is very costly and almost non viable,

Adaptive Cruise

See options in tool bar, if this is of interest still as its very expensive”
