Sill damage - easily fixable?

Hi,

I’m looking to buy this t6, all in great condition, good price (which has been adjusted for damage), has everything we need. There’s just damage to the sill (not too fussed about the mark on the door).

Happy to pay to get it fixed seen as the price is exactly what we’re looking to pay, just wondering if anyone has any experience of how much this would cost / how easy it would be to fix?

Thanks in advance

Move along to the next one.

There's a glut of vans on the market, so why choose one that has an obvious problem?

To be honest, id personally prefer to buy a van with damage like this than one that has had the damage repaired by persons and quality unknown, if you can save a few quid buying a van cheaper like this then thats a bonus.

I had similar sill damage repaired (albeit a few years ago in 2018, when VW assist managed to let the jack slip out from under the car when jacking) and it was about £500, so id guess in todays money anything from £500-1000. best bet would be to find a reputable body shop nearby and explain the situation and show them the photos and ask for a budget price.

Hi @sparkzer appreciate the reply.

I can understand why it might be a big no for some, but the van meets all of our requirements, even with the damage we think we’ll still be coming in under budget so we feel it’s worth it.

I’ll call around some local garages tomorrow.

Thanks again

I did something similar to a previous van of mine, on a low wall, ironically going to a body shop in an old mill building. Easy enough fix, so might be worth it if the price is right

I put sidebars on after that.
