Yes this could work on some cars but MK60EC1 is definitely not suitable for Transporter.
The main concern would be significant difference in vehicle weight and size.
Basically MK60EC1 has been designed and "rated" for much smaller vehicles.

Thank you for your answer! So on Caddy it will be possible?

Caddy has the same ABS unit as Transporter.
But again from safety perspective(mainly ESP settings) I would say this is bad idea.

Leaving all Safety Related Problems aside:

Main Technical Problem is that all ABS check if they match to the CAR, by checking part of VIN.
And MK60EC1 does not support Caddy 2K.
So to get it working you will need to change your VIN to match a CAR which had MK60EC1 ...
Changing VIN is possible, but that could make other Control Units unhappy ....

I did not further Analyse T5.1 (in germany we call it T5.2) ABS regarding "both" Side ABS Sensors.

Be Aware: the 1K8 919 472 C PDC Module is made for PQ35 Platform with "Control-unit 16 SteeringWheel".
That one is not possible/available in the T6 (PQ25)
So after installking the PDC will always complain of no connection to "Control-unit 16 SteeringWheel".
And you will not get the correct View of Steering Wheel angle for the "Yellow" Projection of Travel Path when moving forward.
I am hoping and working on finding correct dataset to fix this issue.
But could be that this is not possible.

I have to revert this.
Just saw that "CAR" Part of vin Between Caddy with MK60EC1 and with MK100 did not change.

WV1ZZZ2K.... vs. WV1ZZZ2K....

So there is a good posibility that MK60EC1 will work in newer Caddys (2015+)
But there could be other dependencies ....
You need to Test

I have MK60EC1 ABS unit, left from upgrade on another vehicle, I think I saw somewhere adapter cable between MK60EC1 and MK100 units, I was searching through the net for such connector between the ABS units, but couldn't find one!

Hi together!

I have now installed another PDC with the 1K8 919 472 C software. Everything works so far. Unfortunately, I have an electric tailgate that can no longer be opened with the key. When I try to encode the PDC on an automatic tailgate, it is rejected. Do you have another idea? Thank you!

Hey dnoermann (or anyone else!)

Are you able to share a parameterization file with me for 1K8919472C please? I fitted 5Q0919294K to my van and flashed it today, but of course the parameters are blank. Many thanks in advance
