From the mock up of the cut out I think this is the panel with the connector exiting beneath the panel and if it if embedded the panel will be totally flat. I quite fancy this type of panel myself (there is another with a single round outlet at around 5omm) but I don't like the idea of such a large hole in the fibreglass.

The panel I have is the PVLogic STPVF100 which has a 35mm circular outlet on the rear, my pop top roof supplier was getting flustered about warranties on the roof with having to drill a hole to fit it, I’d hate to have shown him that 10 inch monster, he’d have had a heart attack.
