Set position between 1st and 2nd row ?

Anyone fitted a bench seat in row 1.5 - Hi all - here we go - looking for views looking to put a three seater bench seat in my SWB T5.1 panel van, I was going to go for the second row position with the seat belts in the between the c and d pillar positions (Pink) like in a shuttle (floor fixing locations orange and yellow in the diagram) . I found that this gives very little boot space and the standard position for Kombi seats (green and blue) little room for a table when I spin the from seats round. My question is has anyone used a high bred of row 1.5 (orange and green) and using the seat belt position pink.(I have all the relevant vw approved parts for this btw) Thanks

I looked into this for ages. The dimples in the floor are not evenly spaced which is annoying so it doesn't work its about an inch off. I installed the 3rd row brackets so i could move my kombi bench back as others have done. Also i was pleasantly surprised by the boot space with the triple bench in the third row, still loads bigger that any car or SUV. My bench lives in the 3rd row except when we go on holiday and works great most of the time even with all my kitesurfing equipment
