Securing a tailgate awning with pop top?

Looking at the Vango Tailgate Awning, it looks like the securing straps need to cross over the van roof before being pegged in front. Does anyone have experience of this with a pop top please? I'm concerned the straps will interfere with the canvas, or is there some other means of fastening at the rear?

Hi neighbour - it's a pity there is a lack of camping showrooms locally (I'm in HP16).
The Vango website says you can use various methods of connection.
As the Hub is driveaway, and assuming you would close the barn doors in really poor weather, then I think some bungee would do the job.

Eventually I went for a side awning (Vango Faros) as campsite pitches tend to be square, and we have no exit from the rear of my camper as the R&R bed is in the way.

Thanks @TrevorK I eventually found a good deal on eBay so went for it... As you say, it's freestanding so I'm sure we'll sort something out. It's also side compatible so hopefully lots of options.
