Robustness Kit

When replacing the timing belt and pulleys , water pump has anybody fitted the Robustness Kit which i believe is heavier duty pulleys. I hadnt heard of it but an independent VW tech recommended the Robustness Kit.

I've never heard of one. So googled "robustness kit" and only found one mention...in Australia. I've recently paid £1100 for a standard timing belt and water pump change. Sounds like a way of digging an even deeper money pit.

IIRC this was a kit fitted to the engines before the T6 euro 6 engines after a few had lost the cambelt due to an aux belt failure.
I thought ours already had a modified cover etc.

Mine is a CAAC engine, euro 5. Maybe thats why he recommended it. He told me that the pulleys are heavier duty.
