RIB seating height

Whilst exploring T6.1 seating options at the Southern Motorhome show over the last couple of days, we found that although we like the RIB seat mechanics, the finished seat height means that the head of averagely tall passengers will touch the bed-board when the pop-top is down (driving). Also, at 171cm tall, my feet don't touch the floorboards when sat on a RIB; I don't mind for short sits, but not sure I could do a long journey with feet dangling.

Rock-and-roll beds seem to finish lower, and give an extra couple of centimetres headroom...and I can get my feet on the floor.

Q. Have any RIB manufacturers considered designing one with thinner foam or shorter under-frame?

Thanks!

You're correct that the squab of the Rib is too high and at not quite 165cms short my legs swing about in mid air and my head is nowhere near the underside of the poptop bed... but what a quality bit of kit, built like a brick schizerhaus, flat as a board and comfy with it as a bed, then a factory look sofa with seatbelts when some other poor sod has to sit on it, I look it a lot. :geek:
