Hi, Usually drive the van pretty steadily as, the torque is sufficient for all my usual speeds. However kicked down the gears from 2000 revs for a quick overtake. Rose to 2,750 and that was the max. Then glow plug light came on. Continued the journey without any problems. Stopped for the shopping. Restarted and the light had gone out. Tried a few more times, even in neutral and won't rev about the 2750. Any suggestions, gratefully received.

Think you are mixing two things here, you suffered an engine fault that put your van into limp mode which impedes engine performance but keeps running to ‘get you home’

All vans have their revs limited while in neutral to around 2500, this is common on modern vehicles and is to stop unnecessary revving/engine wear/damage

Take it out and drive it again and see what happens. You also need to read fault codes.

Thanks fellas, Have ordered a Carista, here by Monday. The engine won't Rev above 2700, driving, in park or neutral. Heater plug lights only came on the once when it was being driven. Not smoky, not wet exhaust, free revolutions up to the 2700. Give more feed back Tuesday, 8th.
