Retrofit Poptop ~ Who’s Done It? Advice Please!!

Who on here has done a part conversion, then popped the roof at a later date? More importantly what’s your experiences in doing this?
We’re looking at converting and in an ideal world it would be popped, but money says otherwise so hence thinking of part conversion and get on and use it, then pop later.

I haven’t done it but from a practical point of view make sure they use a nibbler and not a disc cutter to cut the hole.

Yes my lads T5 was bought fully converted apart from the roof. He later had Austops fit a poptop and they did a fantastic job, even moving some ceiling-mounted lights and carpet lining around their fittings. The only thing is, the original units - cupboards, sink, hob - are designed for sitting, not standing - so are a few inches lower than mine. Not a problem as such, but something to consider.
