Found RESOLVED - Passenger airbag switch from side panel T6

Strongly suspect I may have broken mine during removal of the side panel.

I believe the part number is 5C5919237WGI but may be wrong.

Anyone got a spare or know of a reasonable priced one ?

Where did you break it?

I've got one spare, I broke a tab, but it works perfectly.

I will try to dig it out the garage when home from work.

Thanks.... the round button part came away from the unit itself. I've slotted it back in but my best guess is it must be broken, hence the airbag light.

Is it broke or do you just need to cancel the warning with Carista or VCDS ?

Both I'm reckoning, don't think the button should come away from the unit. I have access to carista when my son gets home from work later...

You may be lucky and get away with a reset had similar happen with caddy last year.

Only if you're cack handed like me and the weather plays its hand.....

When it pops off, it'll be connected by the airbag cable

thanks, will it help if i take earth of the battery? shoul be able to unplug it then?

You can unplug it. Just don’t switch on the ignition whilst it's unplugged.

Carista wouldn’t reset it for me. I had to borrow a snap on machine

All good now, cancelled the warning by Carista and its thankfully not come back.
