Blimey I am exhausted reading up on this whole wheels and suspension topic

Now looking for peoples views on how customvanz/raceline do their lowered suspension.

They use separate springs and damper units, instead of using coilovers ...

VW T6 SUSPENSION BRAKING AND PERFORMANCE UPGRADES RACELINE EIBACH BILSTEIN FORGE MOTORSPORTS - CUSTOMVANZ

spoke to the chap there (seemed very helpful) and he told me that their system will be significantly more compliant and plush than B14's.

Any thoughts please?

Of course they would say that. Can’t imagine that after all of the development and fine tuning that a company like Bilstein would do into their specialist market, that a single entity could go and improve upon that by using a Bilstein strut and their own spring.
If they have got a better product then Bilstein should be ashamed of themselves.

I find my B14’s very nice indeed.

Have to agree with @DaveyB totally on this. They are not going to say theirs is not as good, and have there not been posts on here from people saying that the customvanz kit is very firm?

Very good point and I suppose obvious had I thought about it properly

I think I have wheel and suspension fog in my head now after reading so much and its stopping me thinking rationally :D

I have a Raceline T6 Kombi which has their lowered springs and Bilstein damper units fitted along with 20" wheels. The ride quality is absolutely dreadful. Any imperfection in the road surface it transmitted into the cabin through a series of thuds, bangs and knocks. It makes every journey tiresome and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I could write paragraphs in response to this topic detailing what the problems with this setup are but just take my advice and spend your money elsewhere........

My mate has a Raceline Van and he has had no end of issues with it. From speakers falling out of the door cards to the wrong wheels being installed. They seem like a terrible setup of a business IMO based on what I have seen and read about!

Easier to ask yourself, do you want an adjustable coilover suspension or a traditional fixed suspension with uprated shocks and springs? Go for a ride with both fitted, don't let the sales guys talk you into one way or the other until you have driven both.

You're welcome to try my T32 B14 and H&R arb set up if your in Dorset?
