Put small amount of Redex Diesel Cleaner in Adblue tank by mistake

I accidentally put around 100ml of Redex Diesel cleaner in my diesel T6 Adblue tank by mistake this morning. Does anyone know what the implications of this are please? Do I need to urgently get the tank drained, flushed and refilled?

Adpurple?
I guess that would depend on the ratio, how much adblue was in the tank at the time.
It can’t be so hard to drain the tank and refill.
As Adblue is water based and Redex is oil based they won’t mix, the redex will float on top, not sure how that will fare with the ultrasonic level sensor.
If the Redex does find it’s way into the system it may go as pure redex.

I'd call your roadside assistance provider, otherwise you risk damaging the emissions system.

Oil and water don’t mix, there is no dilution. Depending on the shape of the tank you maybe able to overfill it and force the floating Redex out through the filler.
I’m not familiar with the nuances of VW Euro 6 Adblue, but pretty sure that I read that overfilling messes with the ultrasonic level sensing system?

i think the REDEX stuff is mostly solvents...?

asked google;

Redex Diesel System Cleaner is primarily formulated with a blend of petroleum distillates and cleaning solvents. It functions by breaking down harmful carbon deposits and varnish in your fuel injectors. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The key chemical contents and ingredients include:
  • Hydrocarbons, C9-C11 (n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, <2% aromatics): A carrier fluid and solvent base that makes up the bulk of the product, helping it blend safely with diesel fuel. [1, 2]
  • Hydrocarbons, C11-C14 (n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, < 2% aromatics): Heavier petroleum distillates that provide lubrication and maintain the flow of the fuel. [1, 2]
  • Hydrocarbons, C10, aromatics (>1% naphthalene): A powerful solvent additive designed to dissolve stubborn varnish and carbon buildup on injector tips. [1, 2, 3]
Regular use of these ingredients cleans the fuel system, improves fuel economy,

That’s 5% max of the compound from what I read, I suspect the remaining 95% is oil milked from a snake, it certainly acts and feels like oil.
One way to be sure is for the OP to try mixing some with Adblue, but in a bottle not the tank.

Not an expert on these, but i had adblue issues with my Q5 FY recently, so much so that i did alot of research into the system and how it works. On the Q5 at least, there is a non return valve on the tank entrance - so you can't really just suck it out somehow.

However, there was a drain plug underneath. Hopefully, VW has this on the T6
as well.... Basically, you need to drop the tank and find the drain plug. The system will do a check consistently to check the dilution level (i think 33% but can't remember), you can check this with VCDS/OBD11 as well by reading the data values.
