problems with coding T6 and VCDS [clone cable?]

Good morning all,
I own a Multivan T6 from 2017
Here is my problem:
Two or 3 years ago I bought a rosstech cable (18.1.0 to 20 pounds). In order to avoid going to touch 5 or 6 boxes the first time, I decided to try to activate the comfort box with the automatic closing and opening of the doors.
I went to the 09 box and I modified the 11th byte (reference 64). My origin code was :
62A8393A0A21201201284F646CEB8ED40D84718960CC6D603204003F084
after changing the key, it should become this:
62A8393A0A21201201284F7C6CEB8ED40D84718960CC6D603204003F084
but after save, the code became 21201201284F7C6CEB8ED40D84718960CC6D60320400300000F084000000.
I tried to put the origin code several times but it doesn't work.
The software changes always my origin code to this one : A8393A0A21201201284F646CEB8ED40D84718960CC6D603204003F08400
The consequence is that some things does'nt work correctly :
- I have only one rear doors but he said that I have two and that these are always open.
- The big headlights remain on
- ...
I also tested with another computer but no change.
Is the cable wrong ? Or the origin code ?

If you only paid £20 for your cable, then it was a cheap copy and that is probably why it doesn't work properly.
You need a genuine cable or access to one to fix this.

Wow... I can see there are quite a few things not working correctly.
As your clone seems just to shift coding by one byte I'm curious to see if you could just enter

6262A8393A0A21201201284F646CEB8ED40D84718960CC6D603204003F0

and see if it then still strips off just the 62 in the beginning thus effectively giving you back your original coding - except the last byte - would be a lot better than currently.

Another thing is that the byte you were trying to modify is a byte for light configuration.

If I were you I would throw that cable in the bin and purchase a genuine one.

Also ensure that you are using genuine VCDS software (app) on your PC.

I have a genuine one on eBay at present because I want to upgrade to the latest version.

Second users of genuine VCDS Dongles can register themselves with Ross-Tech and obtain full support for the life of their ownership of the dongle.

Hmmm... at least your original coding is "good" T6 coding. Very similar to others. So it seems to read correctly.

However, in the picture you posted the codings for byte 11 are not correct. Have a look here for correct ones

in my t6, byte 0 is byte 11 and vice versa
I reverse them ?

No, I do not think you will gain anything good by using the clone cable. The bytes in your T6 are not different - it's your tool which is messing things up.

Before getting a proper tool only thing you could try is to enter full original code and see if reads back it correctly.

Could please post new picture - would like to see how does the coding now look?

OBDeleven can do all the same codings, adaptations, and read fault code as VCDS does. It uses Android phone - a big benefit is no computer needed (in my opinion).

I drove with my t6. The orange light dashboard is off. But de stering button and the klaxon (horn) is not attributed. I will buy the OBD eleven. the pro pack with 99 € or the obd11 device 39.99€ + activation pro 24.99€ is good?

Congratulations! I think it is now as good as we can get with the gadget! The last byte was not restored - as expected (assuming it´s reading correctly). But it's just minor thing at the moment I believe.

Both are good.

Pro pack 99€ is latest design.

OBD11 device 39.99@ (+activation) is older design - but works still fine (I have exactly this package). Works only with Android.

Just how does the credit system work on OBD 11. How do you get credits that are worthwhile as I see some functions/apps cost 100. So How much do they cost if you have to buy them? I think you get 1 per day free, but that ain't much.

I believe the steering wheel buttons do not work because of the currently wrong byte 29 - the last one which was not restored (was 40 now 00).
