Hi

I have an 85ah leisure battery and plan to do a few sites that have no hookup I was debating a jackery or something similar or even a collapsible solar panel to keep my battery and fridge charged for a few days when on a campsite. The specs on these things are a mine field any tips?

Get both .....

If it were me I'd go for 3 items. It's more costly but gives you full flexibility.

Powerstation (I have a Jackary 1000 v2 and it's great but all the known brands have very similar features these days).
A solar panel to charge the powerstation. You can quite often get these on deals with the powerstation. A folding one for easy storage etc. You would want 100w plus really.
A 240v 20A charger that can hook up and charge your main leisure battery. That's if you have a lithium battery. Guessing there are chargers for AGM batteries.

Thats the most flexible way to give yourself the most options for all situations.

In my Relay I connected the leisure battery to the solar panel on the roof and added a couple of switches so I could divert from the battery to my Anker power station via a couple of MC4 connectors so the best of both. I have to remember which switch goes first but an easy fix.

I purchased the Bluetti with portable solar kit, very happy with it, can charge from solar, mains electric or 12v although the 12v lead is only 50cm!!!!

I got a discounted deal and only paid €1500 do not think its worth the 2200 they want now

Can also use it in the garden where I have not got mains power
