Pop Top Storage

Hi - At the T6 Autumn Event there was a discussion on improving roof storage options. Not sure if this appears elsewhere. (Mods please move if needed)

2.4m Decking board used for strength cut in two, covered in carpet.

- Used for storage of bags or essentials.
- obviously removed if trying to get in roof then used to extend floor and stop pillows falling into cab.

Be good to see others ?

Regards Martin

Can’t put the roof up atm but here’s a couple of photos…

Bought hanging storage bags from Amazon, we’ve just been away for 4 days and managed to pack all of our clothes in one of them. It folds flat & can be opened and hung up. Pic taken without the shelf (2nd pic) in place

The shelf a prototype I cobbled together but have ended up using. It’s in 2 pieces as it’s not possible to slide a solid piece in place & I can’t think of a better solution 😂

When the roof is down it fills the gap above the cab & helps keep noise down, when the roof is up it’s a very handy storage shelf

I've got a shelf in my van all the time (it's been there for over 4 years now )- it's just a piece of spruce board with carpet that fills the space between the bed board and the front of the pop top. Couldn't live without it and it's amazing how much stuff can go up there. The press studs are for a black out curtain for one night stops and the nets are self-explanatory.

PS. It also makes it a lot quieter in the van when driving at speed!
