PMS won’t allow fridge to run whilst driving

Hi

I have a T5 campervan and the current power management system won't allow me to have my fridge runing while im driving. As you can imagine, this is massively inconvenient.

I'm thinking about running a wire, fuse and switch from my leisure battery to the fridge so I can turn it on and off at will.

Is this a good idea? Or will I end up burning the van to the ground??

Any help you can give will be massively appreciated!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Your PMS does this on purpose. What make is it? Yes, you’re suggestion will work and, providing its fused correctly with the right gauge wire, mean you can run the fridge whilst driving.
