PMS 3V Power Management System - Not Working

Hi

I purchased our first ever campervan last year, a T6, and enjoyed a few weekends away with the family and all was good. After not using the camper much during the winter I have gone to get it ready for this season and my PMS is completely dead in all modes. I currently have it hooked up and there is no charge to it whatsoever and also no charge when van is running and it is in car position.

I am a complete novice when it comes to electrics and mechanics so apologies if the issue is obvious, I have googled it far and wide and have seen discussion on various different forums but cannot find an active thread on this particular issue which makes me believe it may well be a simple problem, if indeed a problem at all.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi.

I have a PMS3H which is the horizontal version of yours.

Mine has a main MCB which could trip and isolate the 240v.

Also my converter used a split charge relay and mine blew the 30A fuse on the 12v when the leisure battery was very low and it tried to deliver a large current from the starter battery, which isolated the 12v. I pulled that out and fitted a CTEK.

Failing that, it’s a trip to an auto electrician like @travelvolts or to your converter if you’re not confident taking the unit out and checking the connections etc.

Are you able to check the voltage at the leisure battery? There should be a fuse on the positive (red) thick cable at the leisure battery end and the starter battery end too. Worth checking those.
