I've just noticed the underside of my Van hasn't got any heat sheildl or covers on. is this normal?
I've had a seat/bed fitted. is it possible it's been taken off to fit the bed??

Have you got a short exhaust?

On my van I have a plastic cover above the spair wheel..... Looks like you haven't got one?

What's spec van?

Our van hasn't got a cover on there either .....and I binned 2 of them cuz they were in my way

My van has a heat shield in that area, presumably for a rear exhaust muffler, but I have a short exhaust so not really required. Van is a 2022 T6.1. I read somewhere on this forum that the heat shields were not fitted in later models?

It’s a brand new high line

I understand the possibility of not needing a heat shield as its a short exhaust. surely the underbody should have plastic covers ? my previous van did

This is the other thread...

I was contemplating bolting up a secret storage container in the space? But so far have only got as far as thinking it would be a good idea lol

This Jerba video is quite good at showing the underside of a T6.1 with and without covers (before cost cutting)
