Pioneer F88DAB hands free problem

I've had the pioneer in my van since I bought it and it's been working fine up to about a month ago.

When making a call on the hands free I can here the person speaking through the speakers but they can't hear me.

The microphone cable is plugged into the back of the unit still , so no loose cable.

I've tried forgetting the device on my phone on the Bluetooth screen and searching again but it's got me puzzled. Could it be a dodgy microphone that's stopped working or am I missing something.

Another thing when I play a YouTube video on my iPhone the sound still comes out of the stereo so it's picking up that sound via Bluetooth.

It's no different plugged in via apple CarPlay or unplugged via Bluetooth same thing happens.

Any thoughts. ?

Daft question.. Have you tried a reset of your phone, not just power off, but a reset?

I had this issue.. microphone in top had failed.
Maybe worth investigating.

Pretty sure that even when connected by USB, the actual phone side of it still goes through bluetooth

On a related subject I bought the speed camera update, it starts to install via iPhone but hangs, any ideas
