It’s a long eared owl. The orange eye colour was lost in the dim light.
Traffic in Scotland while out on my mountain bike.
Lovely, all look at piece. Have some of those hairy highland Cattle not very far away from me her in Wales. Nearly always stop to admire them.
I love them. Make me laugh they just stand there in the road and you have to go round them. 
As mentioned on the where did you go thread, me, @Bigsidavies and 11 others went up Scafell on Saturday. Weather was atrocious, so I didn't take my camera and just used the phone. It warranted mono conversions.

Haha. No but they cremate on the ghat 24/7. The building behind stores the wood, but when the river rises during monsoon season, that building is also an electric fired crematorium. This is further back and you can see the chimneys for when the crematorium is used off season!Did they cremate the whole building?

The grey on the riverbanks is actually ashes which eventually moves into the river (along with a leg bone which at some point of the burn is removed and thrown into the river), along with all of the other discarded garbage. Then they swim in it, wash clothes in it drink it, pray etc. We didn't fancy a dip!

Some different pollutants but probably no less polluted than UK rivers.

I know some of our rivers aren't as clean as they used to be. I somehow think The Ganges might win on the polluted scale though!

yes and also it is a massively religious thing, Mother Ganges. Anyway nuts was a play on words re my photo! (if you zoom in or look at it full size on Flickr)

I took myself off to Winter Hill today for a trek. It is where, amongst other things, the Winter Hill TV mast is. Before I even left home, I knew it was going to be, oh whole, a mono day.
