Phone calls

Evening, I have owned my VW Transporter 6.1 for a year now. My Android mobile linked via Bluetooth no probs & I was able to play music, podcasts & could use hands free until month ago when my hands free calls have hissing sound where I can't hear caller & they can't hear me. Music & podcasts all fine only mobile calls in or out. I have tried removing mobile & reinstalling but no difference.

Mine only rings through the van's speakers if the radio is on or if media is already playing, otherwise I just get the notification on the phone itself.

Had the same hissing issue on my VW—music and podcasts were fine, but calls were just static. Re-pairing didn’t fix it for me either. Updating the car’s firmware helped a bit, though not perfect. At work we use activecalls and the clarity there made it obvious how annoying tiny Bluetooth glitches can be—calls sound fine until one small setting or update breaks them completely.
