ParkPilot not currently available.

Hey. First Post here.
So yesterday evening, my rear parking sensors screamed at me as I put my van into reverse. Then was hit with the display message parkpilot is not currently available.

Now, my van is booked into VW but the earliest date I could get is the 5th of January.
Is there any somewhat temporary fix, or even if it's a simple fix? I'm somewhat competent at tacking most tasks.
My van is a 67 plate volkswagen t6 highline DSG.
Thanks you if anyone sees this.

Could be a sensor at fault turn the van off an unplug them one at a time see if that rectifies it. I assum you haven't got access to some form of diagnostics?

Is you van dirty? The wife's side detection system stopped working on her Sportage. Turns out it just needed a clean.

Worth trying, particular this time of year.

Right, just unplug them from behind the bumper? And no don't have any form of diagnostic tools or equipment, sadly not my trade. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I did wipe over the sensors, but could try a real clean.

So, I just drove to the sports center, and it momentarily worked. Hopped back in the van 2 hours later and its back to not working. Does that provide any information? Or just still a possible faulty sensor? Thanks.
