P226D00 late Filter Deteriorated/Missing Substrate Bank 1 ☹️

Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with the fault code

- P226D00 - Particulate Filter Deteriorated/Missing Substrate Bank 1

Have taken the filter off to be cleaned, no visible signs of damage on inspection with camera. Not wanting to spend 1500 on new filter

Any help advice would be appreciated

Wipe the exhaust tailpipe with white tissue - is it sooty?
