P20ee00 - Again, Update To Update Required.....

I know this has been covered in here in various threads but after my 4 VW Assist call out in 4 weeks the last two being this code.

I had the suspended updated carried out with my free Adblue voucher but now the code has appeared again, apparently the updated fixed one element but not another so there is an update to the update due but not ready yet? Really?

Is this familiar?

Also I should be at a dealers getting them to run a test for 2 hours so they can submit the fault code as it carries more weight!!!

All cleared down but advised it WILL appear again!

If only everything in life was as reliable as a ………………..!!

Unbelievable, I’ve been waiting 2.5yrs and 27000 miles for this update which is being done tomorrow and it looks like it won’t work.

Oh well, here’s to the next 1.5yrs of driving with the EML tanning my face. Thanks VW for taking my money and @#£#ing me over.

If you want to lose the will, then have a read of my original post to see what I’ve gone through with this fault code, I must of been one of the first to have it. Multiple Engine Management Faults

Ref driving with the light on,

If it was convenient for me I’d call the VW assist guy out just to make sure there was a record of it on their system. This year he has been resetting it as VW finally admitted they suspected a software update was need but not available.

If it wasn’t convenient and a very large part of me was hoping it would suffer a large failure, then I just drove it for hundreds of miles with the light on before calling him out.

Every time the EML came on I’d check the code just to make sure it wasn’t Something new. If the same and it always is, I’d just do one of the two actions above.

I’ll speak to the dealer (who have been great) tomorrow and take it from there.
