On The Road Again

Hi,

I'm a carpenter & joiner and have just replaced my old lwb Transit connect with a transporter kombi. It's a T32 lwb 5 speed, startline in candywhite. Been thinkimg of getting something a bit bigger for a while so when the gearbox on my elderly ford died the time seemed right.
Really pleased with it so far, I'll be fitting it out to take all my tools etc but want to keep it flexible so we can use it for familly road trips like our annual trek to Cornwall. I'm interested in finding out about other people's conversions, perhaps so we could have a bed in the back for weekends away etc.
Have a bit of past form with campers as when I met my wife back in the late 80's I was living in a converted Austin ambulance so I felt a tang of nostalgia as I drove away from picking up my new wheels.
It's a 65 plate with 55,ooo miles, must be one of the earliest T6's as it was registered in nov 2015.
I'm hoping to find any info/advice I need here as I'm more at home dealing with with timber
than mechanics - Cheers !
