Older V-Dubs

Moving to the darkside, fitting a subaru engine. Shame as its a one family owned car and going to strip everything and scrap it. Keeping engine, box, wiring, ecu and heater !!.

Slow progress on mine, still waiting on a custom wiring loom.
Headlining, windscreen and dash fitted, tubs painted and soundproofed, fuel tank in, stock beam replaced with T'haus 5" narrowed king and linkpin beam, dropped spindles and Porsche hubs/brakes.

Rear end started, adjustable spring plates and rear discs.
Needs dropping a spline or two lower, but that can wait until the engine and gearbox are fitted. Doing a 1.5" engine and gearbox raise, then the engine bay metalwork can be done.

The brakes are fine with regular adjustment. A front disc kit is around £1k, but you'll still have to adjust the rear brakes and handbrake periodically.
The sender is earth switched, so there's an ignition fed 12V at the gauge. If you earth/ground the gauge and it goes to full it's fine, check the dash grounds. Then ground the brown cable at the tank and the same thing should happen. If this is all OK, it's a sender issue.

Our t haus beam some of the nipples were too close to chassis to attach grease gun. Great kit though, rear sounds lot of work would love to see in flesh bud.....

Donor loom stripped and off to get converted next week, even had 30 litres of fuel left by PO. Shame most of the parts end up being dumped.
