OIL Message (Newbie help)

Hi all, newbie here and I just wanted to double check something, my other half just messaged me saying she's got in the van and it says OIL on the dash and has a flashing spanner no lights in the cluster just the single word OIL and the spanner.

Is this saying the oil is low? or is it saying it needs and oil and filter service? This is our first VW and our first T6 and im not at all familiar with the brand so just wanted to be sure.

Oil warning always comes with a red light to warn of serious issue/stop driving

Just text in the display is telling you oil service is due

I have same display, I have changed the oil myself, anyone know how to reset this oil and spanner sign?
