Does anyone know the correct size for the "Oil Filter Removal Tool"

Needing to do an oil change, it really shouldn't be this difficult !!

Steve.....take a look at YellowHound's excellent thread! You're right......it shouldn't be this difficult! I'm about to do mine.......in all the years I've been doing my own intermediate oil changes, I've never, ever had to put this much thought into such a "simple" job!!!! Thanks VW!

Normal 32mm socket with a 6" extension bar.

Cheers for the posts all very useful, I now have a 32mm socket, will start the Oil Change on Saturday, hope it goes well.
