Oil change due in 1600 miles

Got this message today, quite surprised to see it so early (in another 1.6k it will have covered 13k)

The caddy the T6 replaced used to easily do 19k before asking for refreshments.

Looks like it could need to go in every 6 months if thats the case, as i cover mostly m/way miles i expected to be pushing close to 20k.

Has anyone else had the message show so early!

Also need a new pair of boots on the front too!

On the flip side, the last tank returned 39mpg which i'm pleased with shows the difference between driving at 60-70 and 70-80 as the later only returns roughly 34mpg.

Do you know if it's set to longlife regime or time and distance?

I have mine set to T&D as I like the shorter intervals.

Not sure Loz, it will be on 13k so that's an unusual amount for t/d servicing, i would expect 10/12/15k as seems usual on most vehicles. As for time alone it will only be 7 months old, so it's triggered off that either.

I'll book it in next week and see what they say.

On the T6, unlike the T5, they are all coming up with an oil change service halfway to the first service. As we all know the T5 used to go to 25k before the first service. VW have changed the servicing on the T6. Its all calculated on sensors, so dependant on what style of driving you do; stop starts, cold starts etc
