Hi all, hoping someone can help with a reoccurring fault on a 2013 1.6 TDI van 🙏 OBD reader says overboost and the coul light symbol comes on and the van goes into reduced power. When you turn the engine off and back on again it clears for a while but the fault is reoccurring despite have had a new turbo fitted and a new EGR Valve. Anyone experienced this before please or knows what the problem may be?

Re-mapped or stock, have to ask now as it’s often divulged around post #15.

Are you getting a lot of black smoke? I would check for boost leaks
Hi, no, no black smoke at all. Everything was running great then all of a sudden we were driving along, we put our foot down to accelerate ans shw just went into a k8nd od limp mode and the dashboard was showing the faults.

Was it a brand new turbo or reconditioned? Years ago I had a VW bora 1.9tdi and it would go into limp mode when I put my foot down. I would dip the clutch and turn the ignition off and on and power would be back again. That was a actuator fault

It was a brand new turbo, fitted by the garage we always use. It's been back to them 4 times and had anorher new turbo fitted under the warranty incase the first one was a faulty part but still not cured the problem. They dont know what to suggest now, hence my asking for help from everyone here.

I assume they calibrated the new Turbo when they fitted it ?

eg

I assume so, but we'll ask the question. We have been using the garage for a number of years and they are a long established business. Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.
