The descriptions for the codings are not 100% accurate. I would be cautious before making "random" coding chances of factory settings - if it's not broken, do not fix it 
I have noticed the same "RHD discrepancy" on many scans found here.
The descriptions come from label file 04L-907-309-V2.lbl which actually was an ECU made by Bosch - ours is made by Delphi. Certainly VW has kept tried to keep them compatible but everything was not probably transferred or (used any more). Also worth to note that your engine CXEC is equipped with latest software (WLTP version) and it was not even supported for a while by VCDS. Finally the support was brought using label file of old ones.
