I used McLube Sailkote to stop my roof scissors from creaking as I always keep some in my Sailing bag. I have also used it to fix an impossibly stiff headrest on my RIB bed in seconds - I was then able to move it effortlessly with one hand for the first time!
A key benefit of dry lubricant such as McLube is that it will not transfer dirty black marks to your roof tent as might be the case with WD40 (or similar) should the roof tent rub against the scissor mechanism.

Noisy in what way? Constant creaking/squeaking or a clonk when putting the roof up and down? If it’s a loud clonk then they need realigning on the roof.
