@Ed Webb really useful write up....Will help me no end...
It's a good mod and well worth doing. I like the dash space now.
Nice work @Ed Webb , it's quite a rewarding feeling when you get that pipe work complete as it's a pita getting it into the grommet and routing it down to the lower centre.
Really pleased my guide is coming in handy too!
cheers pauly really appreciate it
What does the T piece connect to?
@Ed Webb @ZipcodeUK did either of you do the the added 2 usb's?
Awesome write up fella, well done
Nope, i just put the blanking plate on as I wasn't spending the silly money on the small wiring loom from VW to run them. I almost never use the USB slots on the dash anyways so i don't need the extras.
If you follow the guide by @ZipcodeUK He guide you through. It basically fits into a hole created by the removal of a grommet.
I didn't add another usb. My radio is aftermarket and even the original doesn't work.
It's a lot of dollar to add an additional usb
Any luck with the part number @Pauly ?...sorry to be a pain
Sorry mate I keep forgetting, I need to be on a PC to get it
Send me message tonight and remind me and I will post it here
ok cheers @Pauly really appreciate it
7E0816311C - Long hose
7E6820717A - Plastic duct/foam outlet
Thank you for this @Pauly
@Pauly is it just the 2 items I need or do I need the T piece as well?
I asking loads of questions about this cooler pipe...but still can't get my head round what it connects to that provides the cool air?
@T6180 The T piece comes with the long hose.
As above the t piece is part of the hose
The air box in the dash has a 20mm blanking grommet in the side of it, you remove the grommet and push the t piece part of the hose into the hole
@Ed Webb @ZipcodeUK or anyone ,is this a mod that can be done to a PV van ?
Can be done to any vehicle that has a single passenger seat
Will fit to any vehicle but if you have a double passenger seat the inside passenger will have no leg space (as in literally none)
