I just took it off, the panel is a friction fit anyway so it doesn't come open when driving and it stays shut unless you want it open, I did add a strap to the sliding piece so I can close and open it whilst up in the roof.

Spoke to the guys at Skyline yesterday. They have plans to replace the sharp clasps with a magnet solution. Sounds good to me. I’ve had to fit my own latch because it will absolutely not stay up on its own.
