Hi guys , i managed to be lucky enough to get a t32 4motion 180bhp as my work van off the bosses for being a good lad, 3 years old now ex demo direct from VW dealership, had 9k on the clock and was ex demo, still had the stickers on it so i was thinking shes safe bet. Recently had the clutch and flywheel changed as the bugger was knackered after VW dorchester changed a cam belt on the service time and after , I noticed a knock took it back and they then noticed the flywheel shot the clutch had slipped a few times previous. i stated van never been under load and never pulled a fart. No toe bar and camper setup inside. Previously had a t4 2.5 tdi 2000 ran it everywhere towing trailers and bowsers with 1tone of water , 3 times a day 4 days a week went to the mountains load survived everything she was my beaut. help me build my business and was a horse. i did 250000 on the van purchased 1 clutch flywheel at 225k . my argument was simple the new clutch in my T6 had gone or been ragged to bits before I got it?, made me think this clutch and fly wheel surely should have done a lot more in the 4WD 4 motion , can i ask your opinion sure my clutch and flywhell should have lasted more than 62k with no load and a van driver for 20 years . please let me know your thoughts as im keen to show VW cheers guys

Had to have a new fkywheel in my previous 140 dsg at 40k miles. Vw didn't want to know so boss paid for it to be done at a local specialist.

I agree with you, I've had several cars and put 200K miles on them, I've never replaced a clutch over 35 years of driving. Sadly you don't know how it was driven for the first 9K miles, so you can't judge the quality of the clutch.
