My new T6

I've recently bought my first VW van. It's a 2019 T6 (T30) and I'm over the moon with it - except for the ride. It's fitted with some stunning Momo Revenge Anthracite 20 Inch wheels, but I find the ride a bit harsh and, on full lock, they occasionally rub on the inner arch liner. I'm also not keen on the fact that the speedo under-reads.

I've spent the last day or so reading through different threads on optimal wheel tyre combinations and have decided 18 inch wheels might offer a good compromise, but wanted to ask what tyre size I should opt for. I'm primarily interested in ride comfort, so think a decent height sidewall would be good.

Also - if I was to sell the existing wheels and tyres what sort of price should I ask? Wheels are like new, and the tyres probably have about 5.5-6mm tread.

Many thanks.

The harsh ride is down to the stock suspension.
Keep the wheels if you like the look and get Steve at CRS to sort the ride quality and ride height out, again swapping wheels and tyres won't compensate for VWs harsh ride.

I have these wheels. When lowered they can occasionally scrub the arches but it's no big deal. Definitely recommend lowering.

Sell for £850 on forum and £950 on market place/eBay

I'd be interested to see what tyre specs you have there. can't quite make it out

Mine are 275/40ZR 20 106W XL

Agree that the ride quality is affected mostly by the suspension and not the wheel size.

I'm on 20" wheels with non-standard suspension and the difference is night and day compared to stock on 20" wheels!

On the T6 the under-reading speedo can be improved by fairly simple coding with OBDEleven or maybe Carista (I haven't tried with Carista so check if you go down that route. There is a thread on the forum if you do a search.
