Missing parts?

Hey everybody. It's a while I haven't been on here. With all the covid craziness I disconnected from the interwebs to keep my sanity, what little of it I have remaining.

The other day I found a pipe clip laying on my parking. I though it strange but didn't really investigate immediately. Now I have the glowplug light flashing, the CEL on, and a couple of faults thrown. More baffling though, there seems to be something missing from under the bonnet. I attached a few pics, you can see a broken hose with section missing. Is it just the hose, or some other component should be there too? Would anyone be able to offer some input on what may be missing and maybe snap a couple of similar pics so see if we can spot the difference? I'm LHD so the brake reservoir/master cylinder is on the other side. It's a 2018 110kw TDI. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hey thanks for that! Very bizarre that hose just going AWOL. The remaining part isn't brittle, no teeth marks, nothing to steal... Anyway I replaces the hiose and she runs nike new!
Do you park anywhere where there is a possibility of rodents getting in the engine bay and chewing pipes and cables?
If so, check everything underneath, and in the engine bay. I recently saw a report of someone's DPF having all the cables to all the sensors chewed to shreds.

Yeah, I do park it outside from time to time, but no teeth marks on the hose and nothing else looks chewed. Very strange. Anyway I took the opportunity to replace the boring black hoses with some nice blue silicone ones and the bus is now running tiptop! Thank for the input guys
