Yes. Trying to test the connection with just a 12v desktop power supply and the Tx and Rx wires connected.
 
Hi,
I have a 2016 caravelle with composition media retrofitted. I think its patched to remove cp and add functions like carplay, voice control etc. There is nothing under installed swap codes. Today i tried to activate features like car info display with vagcanpro adaptations but only driving school mode activated. Do you have any idea if i can enable them or is it impossible ?

I have 478 on my head unit in my Tiguan and I too have a patch that enables everything except CP as factory fitted. Unless you add the FEC/SWAP using a calculator then they will appear as uninstalled. If you look on youtube you will see someone adding features using OBD11 but you have to generate the correct HEX string for your headunit and car. i have managed to enable a few features like bluedrive mode, offroad mode but can't get sport to display even though enabled via VCDS.

I can't say too much as not sure it goes against the forum rules, go searching, you will find info on the web.

Im running out of hope that this is possible but got this head unit and was hoping someone knows how to patch or remove CP from i just wanted bluetooth as original unit didnt. Is this even possible?

Thank you for the answer but vin number seems weird on head unit so i don’t think calculater will work

Hi can you please help me. Today i entered 2 SWaP codes for preformance monitor (00060400) and for SDS for Nav (00070200) but I dont get readings in Sport mode ( no temp and no G force). In offroad menu compas and hight works normal but wheel position dont work. Why i cant select oil temperature? Why since refuele menu dont work? What do i have to activate in adaptation menu?

My off road works fine, I couldn't get sport mode enabled as i have't added the swap file and selecting oil doesn't work. My fuelling data just worked.

I am on version 0478
 
I've held off upgrading from 256 (I think that's the latest on H2), the instructions I've come across (so far) have been unclear so don't want to brick my headunit. If anyone has any good guides or vids they'd like to share I would be grateful.
 
Don't you just go in via VCDS and change the vehicle type? My 5N Tiguan shows a golf when selected but mk2 Tiguan works fine. Sorry i don't have screen grabs
