Have installed 2 off repair wires from back of wheel connector F350 terms 10 and 9 to T73b term 36 (10) and picked up 12v (9) at light switch black wire.

Have had the VCDS code changed Byte9 bit3 ticked for MFSW but nothing working ... the horn now functions only by pressing I/0 on the cruise control left hand side of wheel. I replaced the airbag loom with a mfsw loom and all is connected. The van has existing cruise control on the stalk and has the radar sensor fitted in the front bumper.. dont think its acc although the replacement wheel seems to be acc.

I'm not too bothered about getting cruise control working from the wheel but the telephone and audio would be good as well as illuminated with lights on, obviously the horn needs to function correctly.

I will re_check the repair wire connections at the F350 coil connector ( 2 wires female connectors added to connector) and of course the BCM T73b /36 .. this was a real pig to get and difficult to splice into due to the position of the BCM and no wiring slack on the connector looms.

Any other thoughts or ideas to check / fault find.

I'm no expert in this area, but I was once told by someone with better knowledge than me on the subject, having cruise buttons on the stalk, in addition to the cruise buttons on the wheel, causes issues.

If you have a euro 5 engine then you can not fit cruise in the steering wheel

T6 MFSW does not have a mode button it has cancel. That wheel is not compatible with T6

if you don’t have ACC you can’t fir a MFSW with an ACC button.

It's a 2017 Trendline Euro 6 with add blue and I'm sure the wheel came off a 2016 T6 Highline .. I need to re-check with the T6 forum seller

Apologies realised.... it maybe the buttons section 'yoke' is not off a T6 ... seller wasn't 100% sure ... maybe I need aT6 buttons yoke that will fit into my wheel ... the 5 pin connector t5u fitted the buttons section ... all seemed ok but whatever.

Maybe better looking for new complete wheel ... what van will the wheel I have come from .. I maybe be able sell it on to someone else who needs wheel .. got it for £50 + delivery

Does the radar sensor on the front mean it's acc or 'city breaking' not sure what he difference is and how to tell

You could try just swapping the buttons to the correct ones. Looks like you’ve been had in the net a bit mate, the seller may of removed the wheel off his T6 but those buttons weren’t off a T6. :(

What's the operation of city braking ( as against acc ) . can't seem to see it in Dellmassives how to thread just talks about acc
City braking just brakes if it thinks youre going to have an accident. ACC is cruise that will follow the vehicle in front. Very basically.

City breaking will automatically apply the brakes to avoid a low speed impact.

I may be interested.

I’d like a leather wheel on my T6 startline but am not interested in the buttons - does anyone know if you can get blanking plates for 3 and 9 oclock?

Regards

I sold him the wheel and said from the outset that I wasnt sure if the buttons were from a t6 so was totally up front and honest and this was reflected in the price.
