Hi. I started this in earnst at Christmas and well over 300 hours later it's finished and I've loved almost every minute of it! Apart from the roof (Skyline) I’ve done everything myself from scratch. As there are only two of us we don’t need rear travelling seats and having hired a SWB camper we wanted this build to maximise storage, have a built in loo but also still have an emergency bed downstairs in case weather was too bad for the poptop. The layout won’t be for everyone but is something a little bit different from the side kitchen layout.

It's a LWB T30 Trendline 102.

There are loads of great build threads on here so I’ll just post a few to prove I’ve done it :)

Done the oily bits now for some carpentry.

We’ve used it a couple of nights and we are really pleased with the layout. The side facing sofa has the benefit of sitting looking out through the sliding door or laying back with your back against drivers seat. It will fold out to a very small double which is just long enough for us to sleep with our feet on the two swivelled chairs.

To give an idea of scale, the sofa is 120cm long. The worktop is 130 x 65 and the walkway in the middle is 50cm minimum. I've done a rough calculation and think there's 1280 litres (or about 2 Passat Estate boots) of storage in the cupboards including under the sofa.

In terms of spec:
Wallas XC Duo diesel hob/air heater
Sink with 20 litres cold water, 50 litre fridge
Vanshades all round (in hindsight we wish we had gone for fake barn door windows given how much the cupboards block out the view)
110aH battery. Various USB/12v sockets.
Mains hook up with 3 pin plugs, Victron split charger and mains battery charger

There's some small bits to finish like tidying up my cabling, fitting an awning rail and fashioning some sort of table but for now it's time to get out in the sun and enjoy it.

Well done! Hope it brings many years of trips!

Superb job! Wishing you many years of fun in your van
