Oh dear! ours shrunk a little even without a dryer, so didn't go back on neatly and it messes with my ocd!
on the subject, for our last trip i bought 2 x 0.7cm thick trekking mattresses from decathlon and put under our main mat, it really helped and had none of that first few days of hip pain adjusting to van.

I cut the foam down a little so it fitted in the cover again
