Hi all,

Any idea why I’m getting a main beam and indicator warnings on my T6.1 and them not working? I removed the seats and floor mat to put some sound deadening in and after putting it back together this has happened.

All connectors I disconnected have been reconnected before the ignition was switched on.

Is there something in particular I can check?
Any help much appreciated! Thanks!

It happens to us all !

You have to make sure the connector locking mechanism is fully open before inserting the plug or the catch doesnt engage and has the opposite effect

Thank you. Im new to all this. Just bought a T6 and it passed its MOT with no problems 2 weeks ago but main beam wouldn’t work this week. The garage have checked fuses, bulbs etc. Full beam and all other lights are fine. I’m hoping it’s not much.

Did the garage scan for any fault codes?

Yes, none showing up. Im returning in the week for one of their specialists to look at it. Its a t28 converted. Im dying to have a little break before it gets too cold but no lights!

I have seen on the forum that the light switch can fail, but I would assume (mayne incorrectly) that if the switch had failed, you wouldn't have full beam either.
To clarify, you turn your headlighst on, and when you switch between high and low beam on the stalk switch, only low beam works?

We fitted proper

thank you very much for trying to help. Last week my husband fitted tight new seat covers so he wondered if he had knocked anything under the front seat while doing this. The garage have checked and seems not.
Full beam works, the sidelights work but the low beam headlights don’t work at all. I’m able to flash on full beam at oncoming cars but no low beam lights. I drove home on full beam, but luckily only 5 miles.
Thank you

A bit of a long shot, but you could try disconnecting the battery to reset the BCM, in case it is a BCM gremlin.

You will need to rrest the auto window down/up , radio stations etc afterwards though.

Triple check the connectors. My issue that started this thread was a connector that looked seated correctly actually wasn't, plugging it in properly fixed it.

This is the one that caused my problems! Although, I'd be surprised if putting a seat cover on would knock it out.
