Lowering T6

Hi

i was hoping for a bit if help. I need to lower my T6 due to clearance on a garage for our new house. I’m going to lower it 30mm and wanted to ask anyone who has done this previously, if the ride is just as comfortable?

The van has been fully converted in regards to the weight distribution.

Thanks for any advice for this.

I have some 30mm VW lowering springs for sale if you’re interested. Only a few hundred miles on them. £120 I will be advertising them soon

Thanks, would you be able to send me the details of them? What did I’d drive like when you had them installed?

I won’t lie to you with the standard shocks the springs are a bit harsh. I will get the ad up in the for sale section later today

Hi
I have -40mm h & r springs on my van and the ride is firmer than before which I like, just my personal preference .

40mm is more of a standard drop, but you would want a better shock if you don't want to compromise comfort. If you just do the springs, you'll get under barriers but be prepared for more of a bone shaking filling rattling ride...

Less suspension travel (lowered) = firmer, harsher ride. .. that's just physics.

It's always a trade off between comfort and handling.

I prefer the sportline 30mm drop (from stock) for handling. . . . . Untill I come to speed bumps or pothole roads at which point I wish I was on standard OEM suspension.

Unless you go air ride or hyro-numatic but that's mega bucks.
